US appeals to its citizens not to visit Pakistan

Washington: America has appealed to its citizens not to visit Pakistan in view of the threat of the Covid-19 epidemic and terrorist attack. In a new travel advisory issued on Wednesday, the Ministry of External Affairs said that the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has issued a level Three Category Travel Health Notice for Pakistan in view of Covid-19.

The advisory urges US citizens not to go to the previously federally administered tribal areas, including Balochistan and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province, as there is a threat of terrorism and kidnapping. At the same time, citizens have been asked to avoid going to areas along the Line of control due to terrorism and possible armed conflict.

However, at the same time, the Foreign Ministry said that the security environment in Pakistan has improved compared to 2014. Pakistan'ssecurity forces carried out an anti-terrorist operation in 2014.
