New Delhi: The atmosphere has already intensified with regard to the next year's assembly elections in Assam. Former Assam Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Tarun Gogoi sarcastically said that former Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi could be BJP CM's candidate for the next assembly election. He said that, I have heard that Ranjan Gogoi's name is included in the list of BJP's Chief Ministerial candidates in next year's Assam assembly elections.
Speaking to the media, Congress leader Tarun Gogoi told that, "I think the Bharatiya Janata Party can make Ranjan Gogoi its CM face in the Assam assembly elections." Not only this, he argued that if the former Chief Justice can go to the Rajya Sabha, he can also be the BJP's chief ministerial candidate. Tarun Gogoi said, BJP was very happy with Ranjan Gogoi's decision in the Ram temple case in Ayodhya. This is all politics. Ranjan Gogai has opened the doors of politics for himself.
Tarun Gogoi also said that he could have comfortably been the chairman of the Human Rights Commission or any other big organization, but his political ambitions are quite large. This is the reason why he had accepted to enter politics through the Rajya Sabha. Tarun Gogoi further said that, he assures that, he will not be the CM candidate in the assembly elections. He also said that he is trying his best to form a grand alliance in Assam.
