Roshni becomes India's richest woman, after father steps down as chairman

New Delhi: Roshni Nadar Malhotra, daughter of Shiv Nadar becomes the India's richest woman as she was appointed as the chairperson of HCL Technologies on Friday (July 17). The same has been done when his father steps down from the position. She will now be leading the India's 13th most wealthiest IT Company with having a market of Rs. 1.69 lakh crore. 

She stands with a net worth of Rs. 36,800 crore. Shiv Nadar, who started the company in 1976, will continue to be the managing director with the designation of chief strategy officer of the company. Before, she was the vice chairperson of HCL Technologies and is also the trustee of Shiv Nadar Foundation which is impacting almost 30,000 students from poor backgrounds. 

She was also ranked 54th on the Forbes World's 100 Most Powerful Women list in 2019. To notify, HCL is the third largest and fastest growing company today, after TCS and Infosys. She is married to Shikhar Malhotra, vice chairman of HCL Corporation.
