PM Modi inaugurates RLB Central Agricultural University Building in UP's Jhansi

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated the new building of Rani Lakshmi Bai Central Agricultural University via video conferencing in Uttar Pradesh's Jhansi on Saturday. The virtual event of University's inauguration was also attended by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, Minister of State (MoS) for Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare Kailash Choudhary.


Previously, PM Modi, himself gave the information about the inauguration of the new building via his Twitter handle. In his tweet, PM Modi wrote, "At 12:30 PM tomorrow, the College and Administration Buildings of Rani Lakshmi Bai Central Agricultural University, Jhansi would be inaugurated. This would improve the education infrastructure & contribute to cutting edge research in agriculture as well as further farmer welfare."

During the event, PM Modi interacted with several students of University and said that new building will improve the education infrastructure and will motivate them to do better. On this occasion, the Prime Minister said that when we talk about self-sufficiency in agriculture, it is not just limited to self-sufficiency in food grains, but also includes self-sufficiency of the entire economy of the village.


While inaugurating the building, PM Narendra Modi said that I congratulate all of you for the new building of Rani Laxmi Bai Central Agricultural University. "Rani Lakshmi Bai had once roared on the land of Bundelkhand that I will not give my Jhansi. Today there is a need to roar from the land of Bundelkhand that my Jhansi will play a major role in building a self-reliant India. We will put all our strength," PM Modi further added.

On the occasion, PM Modi also made an important announcement. He said that three more National Institutes are being established ed at Mahatma Gandhi Institute for Integrated Farming at IARI-Jharkhand, IARI-Assam, and Motihari. Along with giving new opportunities to these students, they will work to reach local farmers with knowledge of technology and will enhance their capacity.
