With a view to add on to the health care facilities for Covid-19 treatment in Lucknow, District Magistrate issues an order.
Lucknow DM orders to convert Haj House into Covid Care Center

Lucknow: Distressing build-up of Covid-19 cases to 1,192 confirmed cases in the State Capital along with 22 deaths is daunting the administration. Majority of those who tested positive are contacts of those who were already affected. Cases multiplied when people violated Covid-19 guidelines. Uttar Pradesh Government keeps on reviewing the situation and sending teams to sensitive districts to inspect, monitor and assist in augmenting the health care system. Around 11 Medical colleges have been designated as Covid Health care Centres during this phase.

Keeping an eye to the yet arising spread of Corona Virus, Lucknow DM Abhishek Prakash on, 2020 has issued a new order. He shared the update through his Twitter Account. In his order, he directed to convert all the Haj houses in the city as Care Centres.

After the ingress of Novel Corona virus in the country, two terms came in highlight,namely- Symptomatic and Asymptomatic cases of Covid-19. Asymptomatic transmission is when a person who has no symptoms of Covid-19 — such as fever, body ache, cough etc — transmits the novel corona virus to another person. The WHO has recently claimed, if indeed asymptomatic transmission was rare, the need for universal use of masks would reduce. In such a scenario, only people who showed symptoms would need to wear face covers to prevent onward transmission of the virus.

DM Abhishek Prakash informed the public that a 1000 bed capability Covid Care Centre will be created for the care and treatment of asymptomatic cases of Corona virus.

He in his tweet wrote, “In view of the increasing infection of Covid-19, orders have been given to convert Haj House into Covid Care Center. 1000 bed capacity Covid Care Center will be built in Haj House for proper care and treatment of asymptomatic Covid patients.”
