Encounter in J&K, 3 Jaish terrorists killed

Jammu & Kashmir: A joint team of CRPF, 9 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) along with Jammu and Kashmir police started a search operation after receiving information about the presence of terrorists in the Nagnad-Chimmer area of Kulgam district in Jammu and Kashmir. During the search operation, three terrorists were killed on Friday morning (July 17). The search operation turned into an encounter when the terrorists started firing, while the encounter came to an end the third terrorist was killed.

Our three jawans are also injured during the encounter and were rushed to nearby hospitals. According to the police, the terrorists belong to the Jaish-e-Mohammad group and one of them was a top commander and an IED expert. Director-General of police said that the top commander was responsible for many attacks, including the Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) attempts on security forces in the recent past. He further said that the commander had managed to escape from three to four encounters that took place in the past. 

The Kashmir Zone Police Tweeted about the Kulgam Encounter, 'Another#unidentified #terrorist killed (total 3). #Incriminating materials including #arms & #ammunition recovered. Search going on. Further details shall follow. @JmukmrPolice.' The names of the Jaish terrorists are not yet revealed by the police. The searches are still going on in the area.
