Lucknow: A woman and her daughter set themselves on fire in front of the Chief Minister's office in Lucknow on Friday evening. The same has been done because the police doesn't took any action regarding the land dispute case in Uttar Pradesh's Amethi district. They both had burn injuries and was taken to the hospital nearby.
According to the reports, they have been threatened in a dispute with their neighbour at their village and the police took no action regarding the same. The incharge of the police station at the village has been suspended. Amethi's Superintendent of Police has ordered a detailed investigation in the case. The video of the incident in front of the Lok Bhawan has went viral on the social media.
Former chief minister Akhilesh Yadav accused the Yogi Adityanath government by tweeting, 'It is a sad news in front of Lok Bhavan in Lucknow that two women have set themselves kn fire due to no action against the bullies. The Lock Bhawan has been bulit for the general public so that they can go there for redressal of their grievances without discrimination, but there is no hearing for the poor in this BJP government.' Along with this, the Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati asked justice for the victims and to take strict actions against the officers involved in the case so that the same cannot happen again in a tweet in hindi.
