Most of our civilians are not aware of the career opportunities provided by our Indian armed forces; they have very meager knowledge about how to join the forces. There are few entries which are very popular among our youngster like NDA, stands for National Defence Academy which is after 12th entry via, one can join the armed forces and further there is CDSE, which stands for Combined Defence Services Examination when a candidate is in the final year of his graduation he is eligible to take this exam.
One thing which is common in both these exams is the written examination, first, you have to qualify the written exam then only you will get your interview call but there are some other entries like JAG which offers you direct entry which means there is no written exam to qualify, you just need above 55% score in your LLB degree further eligibility for JAG entry is the candidate must be an Indian and he or she must be aged between 21 to 27 years and additionally, the candidate should be eligible for registration along with bar council of India/state and you are eligible to be a lieutenant in Indian army by just passing an interview called SSB which stands for service selection board.
SSB is the five days personality-based interview which is divided into two phases. Phase one consists of the screening which is the part of the day 1 curriculum and phases second is the conference part which is a 4-day process.

JAG attorneys serve as judges in military courts, as well as prosecutors and defense attorneys in court- material proceedings. Recruits must attend Officer Candidate School, similar to basic training before they can serve in the army, air force, navy, marines, or coast guards. So if you have the affection towards the armed forces and you want to give your service to the forces then JAG entry is for you only.
