A 100 crore memorial for Balasaheb Thackeray

New Delhi, Jan 22: The Maharashtra government on Tuesday released Rs. 100 crore for the memorial of late Shiv Sena Supremo Balasaheb Thackeray.

State Finance Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar said, “Late Balasaheb Thackeray was not just leader of the Sena but a leader of this alliance. Balasaheb will remain a person of high importance for all political parties. Therefore, in today’s Cabinet, Rs. 100 crore has been approved for his memorial, which will inspire the youth.”

Mr. Mungantiwar further said that the funds will be provided by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) and the BJP-led State government will ensure its availability.

Focusing on the relations of BJP and Shiv Sena, Mr. Mungantiwar said that relations between both the parties “were and will remain sweet.”
He said that there are “high chances” of a   between both parties in the upcoming 
assembly election.
