Paralympic medallist Varun Bhati's grandparents murdered, other relatives were injured badly

Lucknow, Oct 13: A murder case reported from Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh on Friday. Paralympic medallist Varun Bhati's grandparent's were brutally murdered by unidentified men. The incident happened last night in Jamalpur village which falls under Kotwali area of Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. According to the reports, Varun's uncle and aunt were severely injured by the murderers during the attack. Police officers reached the spot and took the injured to hospital, where their treatment is going on. Robery could be the reason for murder. Forensic experts team had also reached to investigate crime spot.

Who is Varun Bhati?

Varun Bhati or Varun Singh Bhati is a 23 years old  Para high jumper from India who won several medals in international events including bronze at 2016 summer Paralympic games and 2017 World Para Athletics championships and recently he won a silver medal in  Paralympics 2018, Jakarta. He has been awarded Arjun Award by the government for his achievements in Para Olympics.
