BBAU organised one day workshop on Tourism

Lucknow, Sep 22: A one day workshop was organized on Saturday by the Department of Education, School of Education, Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow on the topic of Tourism Education in India, sponsored by Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India.

The workshop was organised to provide knowledge and information about Tourism Education in India and to enlighten the students about its features, importance and significance.

 The chief guest of the workshop was Shri Anil Oraw, DDG, Tourism, Ministry of Tourism,  Govt. of India, Prof. Alpana Srivastava, Amity University was the Guest of Honor and the workshop was chaired by Prof. N.M.P. Verma, Vice Chancellor, BBAU University.

Shri Anil Oraw said that hospitality is deeply rooted in our culture as we have the concept of Atithi Devo Bhava, and it’s the duty of every citizen of the country. He added, this sector is not getting the amount of attention it needs to provide the best kind of hospitality to our guest. 
Jha, Dean, School of Education, Dr. Harishankar Singh, Head, Department of Education including all faculty members of the department were present along with the students and everyone participated enthusiastically in the workshop. Prof. R. B. Ram, Registrar, BBAU and Prof. Ram Chandra, Proctor, BBAU, also graced the occasion.

After the discussions, the workshop concluded that until and unless man is educated towards a phenomenon, the phenomena doesn’t become a success and as education covers all the phenomenon of education, then why not tourism education.

The world of tourism is the most beautiful world in education and every student should feel it. It helps us to develop into a culturally responsible people. Tourism is a discipline and has infinite schemes as it is a wholesome industry and is required for promoting our culture.
