Bengaluru to host Aero India 2019, confirms Defence Ministry

New Delhi, Sep 8: The Defence Ministry announced that the next edition of Aero India will be hosted by Bengaluru from February 20 to 24, 2019.

Earlier, there were confusions over the venue as the government was pushing for Lucknow, but the IAF said that Lucknow doesn’t have the infrastructure to hold an exhibition of such magnitude, and infrastructure in Bengaluru is ready as the event is being hosted by Yelahanka Air Force Station, Bengaluru since its inception.

A statement issued by Defence Ministry said, “This five-day event will combine a major trade exhibition for the aerospace anddefence industries with public air shows. Besides global leaders and big investors in aerospace industry, the show will also see participation by think-tanks from across the world.”
