Constable's body found in Jammu and Kashmir

New Delhi, Jul 28: Jammu and  Kashmir police said a police constable abducted by militants from his home in Kulgam district, Muthalnama village on Friday and the dead body was found on Saturday in Gaimoh town.

Shah had been working as a special police officer and he was recently promoted to the post of the constable. He was undergoing training in Kathua,

Shah is the 25th policeman killed by militants in J&K this year. The constable was "brutally tortured" before his death.

Earlier this month, J&K policeman Javid Ahmad Dar was abducted by militants from Shopian district. His body was found in Kulgan the next day on July 6.

Before that, Indian army soldier Aurangzeb who lived in Kashmir's Poonch district was abducted by militants in Pulwama. He was going to this hometown on leave.
