World Youth Skills Day celebrated in Uttar Pradesh- Newstimes News

Lucknow, Jul 16: On the occasion of World Youth Skills Day, an event was organised in Indira Gandhi Pratishthan. Chetan Chauhan, Vocational Education and Skill Development Minister was the chief guest for the event along with him Suresh Pasi (Minister of State for Business Education and Skill Development) were present along with officers of the state. 

On this occasion, youth were honored for their talent and four important MoUs were also signed for participating in skill training programs.

Addressing the function, Chauhan said that, “A lot of work has been done in the field of skill development and youth doesn’t want to go out of their home district. That is why ODOP has been started, which will generate employment for the youth in their district”.


He further said that, “There will be more employment fairs on the basis of skill in UP. The improvement in the quality of training being provided to the youth is being taken care of. Besides, soft skills training is also being provided to the youth.”

Four MoUs have been signed with the Electronic Corporation of India, Health Care, Supertech, Modern Security for their participation in skill training programs. Students were recruited by private companies under Skill Development Mission and got their joining letters immediately.
