Name-Shame posters of Anti-CAA Protesters: Allahabad HC Pushes Date for Compliance of Order to April 10

Lucknow: The Allahabad High Court on Tuesday has postponed the date for the compliance of its order for the immediate removal of Name Shame posters of anti-CAA protesters to April 10. The order was passed by bench comprising Chief Justice Govind Mathur and Justice Ramesh Sinha. 

The Uttar Pradesh government on Monday, filed an application seeking more time to file the compliance report on the issue. Earlier, Yogi Adityanath's government had filed a special leave petition (SLP) against the decision of the Allahabad High Court.

The Allahabad High Court, considering the fact stated in the SLP and affidavit extended the time for the filing the compliance report upto April 10. While UP government moved to Supreme court on Wednesday challenging the Allahabad High Court order directing state administration to remove name shame posters of the accused of anti-CAA protest. The Allahabad High Court also directed the UP government not to install such posters without having authority of law.
