Bhopal. The Madhya Pradesh Congress MLAs who were staying in a Jaipur resort have left for Bhopal on Sunday, ahead of the vital floor-test scheduled for tomorrow. The MP Congress lawmakers are accompanied by the Senior Congress leader Harish Rawat. Rawat said, "We are ready for floor test tomorrow and we are confident of winning it. We are not nervous, BJP is. Those(rebel) MLAs are in touch with us."

Meanwhile, police had previously levied Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) at the Bhopal Airport, post the gathering of BJP and Congress MLAs at the site. Madhya Pradesh Governor Lalji Tandon, in a letter to MP Assembly Speaker Narmada Prasad Prajapati late Saturday, said that floor test has become essential in the backdrop of 22 Congress legislators resigning from MP Legislative Assembly.

MP Governor stated, "The division on the trust vote will take place by pressing the button, no other mode of voting will be acceptable." He also mentioned that floor test cannot be "deferred, delayed or suspended."
The top brass of Madhya Pradesh Congress went in a huddle at CM Kamal Nath’s residence to formulate a strategy for the impending floor test. Senior leaders Digvijaya Singh, Deepak Babaria, Shobha Oza and Vivek Tankha attended the meeting. The exercise to decide whether CM Nath will continue to hold office will be conducted after the Governor's speech in assembly at 11 am Monday.
