Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia decision to quit the Congress party has thrown Madhya Pradesh into a political crisis. Scindia has earlier met PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, after which he posted his resignation on Twitter. Scindia is believed to have a pack of Congress MLAs supporting him in Madhya Pradesh. In an expected development, at least 14 Congress MLAs have resigned from the Madhya Pradesh Assembly. The resignations followed Jyotiraditya Scindia quitting the Congress Party. The MLAs have sent their resignations to the Madhya Pradesh governor in a move that will push the Kamal Nath government to the brink of a collapse.
