"Diabetes can be controlled by lifestyle management": Dr. Uma Shankar Srivastava

Lucknow. Unite Foundation, the organization focusing on promoting social deeds and ensuring the development of society, orgranized its "Unite Manthan" program on 27.7.2019 at the Unite office situated in Jankipuram, Lucknow. The theme for this week's program was "health, precautions and natural remedies." The program was graced by the presence of Dr. Uma Shankar Srivastava, Advocate Yogesh Mishra, Dr P.K Tripathi, Mr. Radhe Shyam Dixit among various others.

Dr. P.K Tripathi, Chairman Unite Foundation shed light on the harmful impacts of pasteurization. He informed that the treatment not only kills the bacteria in milk but also destroys the required and necessary components that ensure the good quality of milk. 
Dr. Uma Shankar Srivastava told that development is although proving to be beneficial for the society but it also is leading to environmental destruction, causing rise in pollution. He told the people present, about how food chain is getting destroyed due to increased use of pesticides and insecticides.

Dr. Srivastava also threw light on ways to stay healthy. He said that people should not get habitual to the same routine of breakfast. High-fat milk should be avoided and less fatty food products should be taken in everyday life. He also said that organic fruits should be consumed more and fast food should be avoided. He told people about the adverse impact of Iodine salt. Iodine salt leads to cysts in uterus and also is responsible for thyroid malfunctions. "Rock salt should be consumed instead of Iodine salt," added Dr. Srivastava.
Advocate Yogesh Mishra said that Indian food quality is so poor that the life expectancy of people is being reduced by 10%. Mr. Mishra went onto add that even reputed brands are using contaminated milk and ghee products. 
At the event's conclusion by Dr. Srivastava revealed that by 2030, anxiety will be the biggest disease to be seen among the youth, which can be countered by maintaining healthy lifestyle.
