K'taka Crisis Update: D.K Shivakumar and Milind Deora detained in Mumbai

New Delhi. The Mumbai Police has detained Congress leader D.K Shivakumar, after he denied moving away from the Mumbai hotel where the rebel K’taka MLAs are stationed. As per the reports, former Union Minister Milind Deora alongwith former Maharashtra minister Naseem Khan has also been detained. The duo had arrived to visit Shivakumar. The detained Congress leaders are being taken to Kalina University rest house.


Senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad and Dinesh Gundu Rao, the President of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee have also been deatined in Karnataka. The three leaders have been taken to the BKC police guest house.

While being interviewed by a TV channel, Shivakumar was almost pulled out by the police. He was refused entry into the Mumbai hotel where the Congress MLAs are lodged as they have alleged a life threat from Shivakumar and solicited police protection.

Section 144 has been levied by the police around Wednesday noon, prohibiting the assembly of more than 4 people in Powai.

Shivakumar reached the hotel at 8.20 am but was denied entry into the hotel despite having reservations.
