Sri Lanks blasts: 3 militants killed in police gunfight claimed by ISIS

Colombo. Sources have revealed, that three militants who blew themselves up during the fierce gunfight with the security personnel, have been claimed by the terror organization Islamic State. Members of the local terror outfit of Sri Lanka- National Thowheeth Jamaat (NTJ), were being hunted by the police in regard to the April 21 coordinated blasts that killed 253 people and injured over 500 others. 

A house in Kalmunai city, about 360 km from Colombo was raided by the Army troops and the Special Task Force, resulting in a fierce shootout with the armed group. President Maithripala Sirisena told the sources, that over 130 ISIS-linked suspects are hiding out currently in Sri Lanka. 

On the morning of Easter Sunday, nine suicide bombers carried out a series of devastating blasts that tore through three churches and three luxury hotels killing 253 people. Although ISIS took the responsibility of the attack, while the government has blamed the local Islamist group NTJ for the attacks.
