PM Modi in Varanasi: "pro-incumbency will make BJP win, victory of democracy is the prime agenda"

Varanasi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi while addressing party workers in his constituency Varanasi stated that after the independence, it is for the first time "pro-incumbency' wave has been observed in the country. "In our country, there have been so many elections. However, after these elections, political pundits will be left scratching their heads as it is for the first time after Independence that there is a pro-incumbency wave in the country. "

As per the sources, PM Modi said losing even one polling booth in Varanasi will make him unhappy.  "Whether I win or not is not important. It's the democracy that should win." 
Modi held a grand road show in his constituency on Thursday, which saw Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Manoj Tiwari, Mahendra Nath Pandey, Union Minister J.P Nadda, UP and Delhi BJP Chiefs in attendance. The rally had passed through Lanka and Madanpura areas of the city and ended at the famous Dashashwamedh Ghat, covering an area of over 6km.
