New Delhi. Sources revealed that United Kingdom High Court refused permission to Vijay Mallya’s written appeal against UK Home Secretary Sajid Javid’s extradition order signed by the British home secretary. Mallya has the option of appealing to the apex court. The process might cover another six weeks.

The Central Bureau of Investigation and the Enforcement Directorate are investigating parallel criminal cases against Mallya for an alleged loan default of Rs. 9000 crore from Indian Banks. The fugitive businessman is facing charges of FEMA violation, fraud and money laundering.

Chief Magistrate Emma Arbuthnot deduced that Mallya is supposed to answerable in Indian Courts regarding substantial “misinterpretations” of his financial dealings when he was heading the now inoperative Kingfisher Airlines.
